
Shelly Griffith is a Civil CAD Technician with O’Neill and Company. She graduated from University of Utah in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Communication and in 2003 she graduated from Brigham Young University – Idaho with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Architectural Technology. Shelly began her engineering training in land development where she collaborated with a team to design master planned communities. She created plats, utility layouts and road profiles based on the master plan. She also verified all design standards with each city’s specifications to reduce revisions. Shelly now works on transportation projects for the Utah Department of Transportation and private developers under the direction of professional engineers. This includes but not limited to new traffic signals, modified signals and widening intersections. She checks that all UDOT’s design standards are met with each project.
Away from the office Shelly enjoys traveling and hiking with her family. She also loves playing tennis, photography and reading.
