Regis Chen
Regis has a combined 42 years of international construction and design experience and is an expert in signal and lighting projects! His work career started in Taiwan after graduating from college. He built, and oversaw, many different types of commercial/residential complexes, military experimental laboratories, and radar station projects there. He immigrated to the U.S. and worked for UDOT for the past 23 years in Materials, Construction, Roadway Design, Signals and Lighting Design. He provided design/built oversight for UDOT and was a real asset to many design teams. He has also designed or overseen over 400 signals/lighting projects all over the state of Utah. He retired from UDOT in December 2019 and joined O’Neill & Company as a Lighting Manager and QC/QA support staff for UDOT.
Regis played baseball in college. He had many fantastic opportunities traveling to Kuwait, Bahrain, Thailand, and Australia for different design projects while working in Taiwan. In his spare time, he loves watching sports, reading books, calligraphy, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family.
